Thomas H. Verhagen, 70, of Appleton, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2026, leaving behind many who loved him.
Born in Appleton, Wisconsin, to Harlan and Ann (Van Der Horst) Verhagen, Tom grew up in the Fox Valley, where he formed the roots that shaped his life.
Tom worked a variety of jobs throughout his life, but spent most of his career delivering pizzas and driving taxi. He especially loved camping, spending time with his family, and relaxing at his trailer on Berry Lake.
Survivors include his siblings Diane Verhagen, Marilyn Nooyan, Rose Stolzman (Dave), and Elizabeth (Gary) Vandenberg, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harlan and Ann (Van Der Horst) Verhagen; his brothers Gerald, Ronald, Randy, Daniel, and Duane Verhagen; his brother‑in‑law Ken Nooyan; and his nephews Mitchell Nooyen and Robert Verhagen.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center for their compassionate care and support.
There will not be a formal celebration of life. Instead, the family will gather privately at a later date to honor Thomas in the way he would have appreciated—sharing memories, telling stories, and spending time together.
