Thomas R. VanCalster, 78, Green Bay, passed away peacefully with his children by his side on March 19, 2026, at a local hospital after a long illness. He was born August 24, 1947.
He served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1969, and was stationed at the Pentagon.
He retired from the Green Bay School Board where he was a custodian at many local schools.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Phillis VanCalster, and his beloved sister, Barbara Morrin.
Tom is survived by his childen: Michelle (Lonnie) Zwieschowski, Jason (Bobbi Hawley) VanCalster, and Brenda (Mark) Georgia; 1 brother, Robert VanCalster; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Tom LOVED the Packers and watching when they played. He also used to enjoy riding on his Harley or even just going for car rides with family or friends. His grandkids and great grandkids were the sparkle in his eyes.
He loved hanging out with his "Market Buddies" and two special close friends, Lou and George.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm with memorial service at 5:15 pm at the Salvation Army, 626 Union Ct., Green Bay, WI 54303.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Bellin Hospital, Rennes, Dimensions Living and to Lisa with Care Patrol.
