Thomas Collins

Thomas “TC” Collins of De Pere passed on September 25, 2025. He was born on May 1st, 1960 to Robert and Phyllis (Cool) Collins.

Tom was a graduate of Green Bay West High School, class of 1979. He attended UWGB, Iowa State University and the National Fire Academy.

Tom was employed in the fire service and as a safety professional his entire career. He was an avid teacher, a coach and mentor. He believed that a person’s integrity was more valuable than their title and opinion.

On May 19th, 1990, he was united in marriage to Kyle D. Stewart in Des Moines, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife, Kyle; children, Samantha (Ray) Johnson and Robert J. Collins; grandson, Ethan Thomas Johnson; brother, Jayme (Michelle) Collins; sisters, Jackie (Rudy) Kapla and Lori (Rick) Socha; sister-in-law, Kim Zuck; nephews, John Jr and Ryan Zuck, James Linney, Mack Collins, and Collin Socha; great nephew, Dustin Linney; nieces, Leslie Linney, Katelind Zuck, Vaugh and Delaney Collins and Olivia and Ally Socha.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Bob” Collins; mother, Phyllis (Cool) Collins; brother, Larry Belongia and brother-in-law, John Zuck.

Per Tom’s wishes, there will be no funeral as Tom never liked them. He would often say to his family “If you give me a funeral, I won’t show up!”

To all of his fire service brothers and sisters and friends on Melody Lane – especially Steve, Bobby and Mike – have a shot of Jameson for him. To the rest of his friends, laugh often and be kind to one another.
