Suzanne "Sue" Francis Terrien

February 12, 1967 — November 20, 2025

Suzanne (58) passed away unexpectedly in her home in Oconto Falls.

She was born to the late Grant Begotka and Mary Wakup in Green Bay, WI. Most of her time was spent in Green Bay, however, she also had time lived in Florida during her younger years, Althelstene, WI, New Franken, WI, Dykesville WI, and most recently in Oconto Falls WI.

On April 18th, 1991, she married the late Thomas Terrien. Together, they raised three children: Marie, Nicole, and Felicia. Sue was also mother to a daughter, Monica, whose life was brief but deeply loved.

Sue held many jobs over the years, with her most prominent being as a caretaker. Whether she was in the field or out, she was always demonstrating some level of care, even if that meant delivering bananas to the doorsteps of her ladies at her apartment complex.

Despite the many challenges she faced in life, Sue remained a source of strength for her family. She carried the heavy grief of losing her young daughter and later her husband, Tom, yet she continued to show her girls what resilience looked like. She taught her daughters to be independent, strong, and to stand firmly in who they are. Her girls were truly her everything, and she faced every hardship with love, courage, and unwavering determination for them.

Survivors include her daughter; Marie (Luke) Hickman, daughter; Nicole Hoida, daughter; Felicia (Frank Teller) Terrien. Brother; Jim (Gayle) Begotka. Her beloved grandchildren; Dezmere, Daytahnee, Theodore, Emberlie and Alyssa. Brother in Law; Kevin (Beverly) Terrien, Sister in Law; Jules Terrien. Along with nieces and nephews; Grace, Sara, Jack, Andy, Christina, Ellen, Nick, Geoff, Tony (Jesse) and Justin. Great Uncle; Scott (Lynn) Lade, Great Aunt; Suzie Lade and Great Uncle; Tim Lade.

She is preceded in death by her daughter; Monica Hoida, Husband; Thomas Terrien, Mother; Mary (Lade) Wakup, Father; Grant Begotka; Father and Mother in Law; Melvin and Lillian Terrien, Sister in law; Kim Burt and both maternal/paternal grandparents.

She will be lovingly remembered for her contagious snort-laugh that could fill a room, and her signature poofy hair that was as unforgettable as the spirit she carried.

Simply Cremation is assisting the family with arrangements.

A Celebration of Life will be held on her birthday, February 12th, 2026 at Backstage at the Meyer 117 S. Washington St. in Green Bay (time to be determined). A private ceremony will follow on April 18th—weather permitting—where part of her ashes will be laid to rest beside her daughter in her own plot, and the remaining ashes will be joined with her husband’s on their anniversary. This final resting plan allows her to be united with both her daughter and her husband in the places they each hold in her heart.
