Susan Jean (Jodell) Parenteau, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025, in Green Bay, WI. Susan was the daughter of John and Beverly Jodell of Superior and spent all her younger years there. Susan was a member of SSHS Class of 1975, and graduated from Mpls Business College. Susan loved to sing, and along with her band, Sue and the Ramblers, played many venues in the Duluth/Superior areas, especially enjoying times playing at the Log Cabin and being the house band for the Duluth Air Force base officers Club.
Susan married Bill in 1985 and they spent 34 years together before his passing. After spending time in the Mpls area, they then made a permanent home in Green Bay where Bill continued his career with the railroad and Susan was licensed for Adult Foster Care and they welcomed two 70 year olds, Florence and Zane, who lived with them for 16 years until Bill's retirement after 40 years as a Locomotive Engineer. After moving to Florida for awhile, they returned to the Green Bay area and lived at Shawano Lake until Bill's passing in 2019.
Survivors inlcude her son, Evan (Tara, Jacob, Madison, and Priya); bonus kids: Bill Jr., Kim (Dwight, Jayda, Ariana, Aaron and Mya), Amy (Austin, Hannah, Jayden, Jaxson and Scarlett); sister, Barb; brother, David; special aunties: Kathy and Bonnie; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and sisters-in-law: Joan, Barb, and Mary.
Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; parents, John and Beverly Jodell; brothers, John and Gary; in-laws, Bud and Irene Parenteau; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Susan has requested no services be held, but a family picnic at her favorite camping spot at Shawano Lake. Long time friend, Jamie, will take both her and Bill's on their last boat ride.
A very special thank you to my son, Evan, his wife, Tara, and children Madison, and Priya, for inviting me into your home and making my last years happy and comfortable. Love you guys!
