Susan N. HagenWesche

Feb 28, 1951 — Oct 5, 2026

Susan N. HagenWesche, age 75, of Waupaca, WI, formerly of Verona, WI, was called home on Monday, October 5th, 2026. She passed away peacefully with her son and granddaughter by her side, holding their hands until the very end, at Thedacare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. She was born February 28th, 1951, in Verona, WI; the daughter of Arthur and Nona (Way) Hagen. Susan will be dearly missed by all of her loving family and friends.

Susan was a proud mother, sister, daughter, grandmother and friend who loved her family and friends deeply. Above all else, she cherished spending time with the people she loved, creating memories and enjoying the simple moments together.

Susan was one of a kind and never afraid to march to the beat of her own drum. She was ahead of her time in so many ways and had a personality that could never be replicated. She was a wonderful cook and baker, loved her Outlander, enjoyed making all kinds of crafts, and was always learning and educating herself. She loved finding treasures at Goodwill and collecting just about anything and everything that caught her interest. You never quite knew what she might find or bring home next, but that was part of what made her so special. She lived life in her own wonderfully unique way, and those who knew and loved her will always cherish that about her.

Lavender will forever remind her loved ones of her. It was Susan’s signature scent, and now whenever they smell lavender or see it, they will think of her and feel a little closer to her. It is a small piece of her that will always stay with them—a beautiful reminder of a woman who was truly and wonderfully herself.

Susan is lovingly remembered by her two children Travis Wesche of Ogdensburg, WI, and Grace Wesche (John Wagner)of Bellows Falls, VT; grandchildren Abigail Wesche (Austin Marker) and Lucas Wagner; three siblings Howard Hagen of Clintonville, WI, Julie (Patrick) Hagen-Coenen of Waupaca, WI, and Marilee Hagen (Dave Proulx) of Waupaca, WI; and by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was welcomed home by her parents Arthur and Nona Hagen, infant sister Linda Hagen, son Nebadon Wesche, brothers Phil (Linda) Hagen and Dale (Aubrey) Hagen.

Susan’s family would like to thank the staff at Park Vista-Waupaca, Thedacare Regional Medical Center-Appleton, and FMC Dialysis-Waupaca for the excellent care she received. They would also like to thank Simply Creation for assisting the family with arrangements.

Susan’s final request was no memorial service or visitation. Instead, she asked for her ashes to be spread at a place in Vermont that she loved dearly and a celebration of life party that will be held at a later date.
