Just out of high school, he worked at a place making dentures. He then attended Fox Valley Technical College.
He worked for Mike's Town and Country and Piggly Wiggly in Menasha, where he was employed for 23 years. The MS he had since the age of 26 forced him into retirement. He was the Meat Manager. About 10 years ago, he became completely deaf and his ability to communicate with family and friends became difficult. He stopped at that time going to his favorite place, The Wishing Well. His interests included hunting, his Harley, watching the Packers and his dogs Bonnie and Frankie.
He is survived by 2 sisters, Bonnie Kiser (Terry Hawley), Neenah and Wanda (Jon) Gillespie, Neilsville and a brother, Steve Van Heuklon, Menasha. He is also survived by a nephew, Christopher Van Heuklon and nieces, Dawn Stovall, Melanie Gillespie, Amy (Nathan) Herrick, Kimberly Kiser and Stephanie (Chris) Huth. Preceding him in death are maternal grandparents, Joseph and Dora Hooyman and paternal grandparents Harry and Mary Van Heuklon and a brother Don Van Heuklon.
Scott shared a special bond with his sister Bonnie and Terry, who have helped him with his difficult life struggles throughout the years, enabling him to be able to remain in his own home.
