It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Romaine (Ro), who left us peacefully, on her favorite holiday, Christmas, to be with her husband, Gene, son, Doug, her parents and many relatives and dear friends.
Romaine was born in Green Bay on March 15th, and lived her entire life there. She spent her career as a hygienist working for numerous dentists in the area. Her passions included spending summers up north at the family cottage, which was across from her mothers cottage, on Half Moon Lake. She dearly loved her grandchildren, enjoyed playing badminton, reading, napping and bridge with her card group friends. She was a wonderful cook and baked many specialty desserts and cookies. She also made beautiful quilts and afghans for most everyone she knew and loved.
She was lucky enough to spend her last year at Good Shepherd Home in Seymour. Their care, support and love for her was immeasurable. She was fondly called Romaine Claire or Ro-Ro and her days were spent looking for attention, something sweet to eat, and keeping everyone on their toes.
Ro is survived by her children, Ann Nolan, Mary Larsen, David and his wife, Kayla Nolan. Her grandchildren, Erik and Natsha Nolan, Bryce Nolan and Sarah Ro Nolan. Ethan Larsen, Natalie Larsen, Cal and Marlo Larsen, Anna Larsen and her fiance, Dusten Landolt. Rachel Larsen, her husband Cody Heeter along with their children, and Ro's great grandchildren, Kal and Campbell. Her brothers Doug (Gay) Johansen, Craig Johansen, sister in laws, Emmy Johansen, Marilyn Nolan and son in law, Kent Larsen.
In addition to her husband, Eugene (Gene), son Douglas, her parents George and Agnes Johansen, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Betty Lenss, Phyllis and Hank Dahlin, and Matt Johansen. Along with many other relatives.
We cannot express enough thanks to all and every person at Good Shepherd Home, especially Cori, for their constant and wonderful care for our mother.
Although we will miss her, more than words can express, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace with the ones she loved.
