It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Roland “Rollo” Otto Roth, age 78, of Omro, WI. He passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Roland was diagnosed with leukemia in early August. He faced his diagnosis and treatment as he lived his life, bravely and with humor. He was deeply touched by family and friends offering words of support during his treatment.
Roland was a devoted husband to Amy Woulf, proud father of Jenny Clark (Dave), and proud stepfather to Wendy Kummerer (Patrick) and Whitney Hennlich (Josh). His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren: Bailey Dorn (Mike Babcock), Nicole Easton (Justin Holmes), Lillian, Rosalie and Klara Kummerer, Lena and Ryan Hennlich, and his great grandchildren, Jon Blaxill and Kayden Dorn. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jan, and his parents, Tony and Ines, and sister, Elsie.
Born in Chicago, IL, Rollo built a life rooted in hard work, craftsmanship, and care for those around him. As a contractor and builder by trade, he dedicated his life to creating homes and spaces that stood as a testament to his skill, pride, and integrity. Many in the community will remember him not only for the quality of his work but for the kindness and honesty with which he conducted himself.
Rollo brought warmth and wisdom to every moment. He had a knack for teaching others, a passion for sports, a patient spirit, and an ability to find humor in the everyday. Whether working on a project, telling stories over a meal, or offering a helping hand, he left those around him feeling valued. Roland was known from his intentional and steady presence, generous heart, and deep love for his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 pm-4:00 pm on Sunday, September 14 at Poplar Creek Barn located at 4541 Co Rd K, Oshkosh, WI 54904.
Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate his life.
His legacy is built not only in the structures he crafted, but in the lives he touched. Ro will be remembered by those fortunate enough to have known him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
