Rodney S. Wittkopf

August 23, 1960 — November 30, 2023

Crivitz

Rodney “Rod” S. Wittkopf, age 63 of Crivitz, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at his home after his 2.5-year battle with cancer. He was born on August 23, 1960, in Green Bay, WI to the late Eugene and Nancy (Hotzel) Wittkopf.

Rod married his lifelong love, Tina Kaminski, on October 20, 1990. Rodney was raised in Suamico, WI and graduated from Bay Port High School. He worked as a truck driver for several companies throughout the years, but enjoyed being his own owner/operator the most. He was also an engineer and inventor where he got to travel to multiple different countries. He enjoyed everything outdoors, including hunting and fishing, which he loved to share with two of his children, Jeffrey, and Mary. His other passion was spending the weekends at the racetrack with his son Robert. He was known as “Papa” to his beloved grandchildren, Dominik, Lilly, Chad, and Ivan.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Tina; children Jeffrey (Raquel), Robert (Lynnea) and Mary (Dillon); sisters, Kathy (Dick) and Jan; grandchildren, Dominik, Lilly, Chad, and Ivan; great granddaughter, Emmylou. As well as many other loved ones and friends he has made along the way.

He is preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Nancy, along with his brother Robert.

Per Rod’s wishes no formal services are being held, however, there will be a celebration of life in the spring of 2024.  Details to be announced at a later date.

Rod was known for his life advice and left this world giving one last message – “just love one another, this world has enough hate and cruelty in it, spread the love, don’t hold the hate, forgive and just love.”
