Rodney A. Spude, 67, of Luxemburg passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024 after a short, but courageous battle with cancer.
He was born November 13, 1956 to the late Roland and Marie (Wery) Spude.
On June 19, 1976, he married Kathy G. Strandell at St. Louis Church in Dyckesville.
Rodney was a hard worker and a man of many trades, starting off with working on family farms in his younger years. He was then employed at Gordon Alberts Construction, Brussels. He then moved on to Peterson Builders Inc. in Sturgeon Bay alongside his father. After the closure of PBI, he was employed at Green Bay Packaging, Green Bay, where he retired in 2019.
Rodney loved the outdoors including hunting, fishing, gardening, and up until the end, he enjoyed watching the birds that graced his feeders each day. He loved watching the Green Bay Packers. He was looking forward to the next season and hoping for a Super Bowl win.
Rodney had many friends and was always there to lend a listening ear and offer guidance to anyone who needed it. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Upon his retirement, he especially enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren to whom he was very proud of. He also enjoyed spending time with his furry friend, Charlie.
