Richard "Rich" Todd Smith

January 10, 1963 — June 23, 2025

Green Bay, WI

Richard "Rich" Todd Smith left us peacefully, at home on 6/23/2025. He was a proud Father, Grandfather, Union Mason, Member Fraternal Order of Eagles, Loyal Packer's Fan,

Richard born January 10, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois was the 4th loved son of Thomas Paul Smith and Nancy Benson Smith (Julius) both gone before him to show him the way home. Rich was United in marriage to Mary Phyllis (Santelli) Smith. He was a proud Father to Jennifer Nicole Smith (son-in-law, Chad Lepak) and son, Jacob Todd Smith. He was further blessed with two grandchildren, Gage and Remi Lepak. Richard found the strength to carry on after the loss of his wife, Mary (2003) and his son/best buddy Jacob (2018), taken way too soon by Cancer. He had lovingly cared for them both during their illnesses.

Richard had a short time in the United States Army, but had positive memories seeing a little bit of the world, of mention Germany. One of his proudest achievements was in becoming a card holding, Union Mason and Bricklayer. He loved living in Green Bay, Wisconsin and was proud of the buildings he had worked on as a Mason. He also loved spending time at the family cabin in Crivitz, Wisconsin, where he had grown up and attended school as a child. Rich loved animals, people and nature. Recently, he enjoyed buying himself flowers at the local Aldi Store, where he knew all the employee's. Richard was a good cook. He liked to eat and shared that passion with his son. But his true enjoyment was making and sharing meals with all his friends, neighbors and relatives, often. Richard had a talent for remembering facts, trivia and a grasp of history. Spending time with his family, children, brothers and sisters made him happy. He loved and loved seeing his grandchildren and was so proud of them. As we will greatly miss him there are two things for sure....if it is 4:00 o'clock in the afternoon anywhere, Rich will be pursuing justice with his esteemed colleague, Judge Judy on a big screen TV #2 In his new location he will with cap on his head, be decked out in Green Bay Packer's green and gold, cold beer in hand, cheering his beloved Packer's to a WIN!

Rich is survived by siblings and family : Deborah (Smith) & William Kenealy, Michael Smith (Louise Singer), Donna Smith & Harold Levy, Mark Smith & Mary Hofstad Smith, David & Margaret Smith, Edward & Patricia Smith. Fond nieces and nephews: Joseph, Patrick, Brian, Joy Kenealy, Ryan, Shaun, Dawn Smith, Shannon VanSickle, Thomas Smith, Katherine Erickson, Steven Smith, Alex, Sam,Will Smith.
