Richard "Rick" J. Kennedy

Richard J. "Rick" Kennedy passed away June 25, 2026. He was born on September 5, 1950, to Patrick and Dorothy Kennedy. Rick was a 1969 graduate of West High School. He spent most of his life working in the trucking business until his retirement.

Rick will be remembered by all who knew him as a kind, caring, and generous man who was always willing to help others.

He loved to talk and joke with everyone, and he always had a story to share. Rick will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers, David and Michael.

He is survived by his sister, Sherry Kennedy; his girlfriend, Paula LaHaye; and his longtime friend, Jim Bodart.

A special mention is given to Steve Roth and Sienna Orlich, who were dear friends to Rick.

The family also thanks Rick's wonderful neighbors, who helped him and checked in on him. He often said how much he appreciated everything they did.

In accordance with Rick's wishes, there will be no funeral ceremony.
