Renate 'Nada' Ursula Viste (Mueller)

September 14, 1960 — December 18, 2025

Sturgeon Bay, WI

Our beautiful mother, Renate ‘Nada’ Ursula Viste (Mueller) passed away peacefully in her home and into the arms of our ancestors on December 18th, 2025 at 11:33 AM CST, at the young age of 65. Nada grew up in Ramstein-Miesenbach, Deutschland with her sister and brother; later moving to Wyoming in 1987; and then moved to Wisconsin in 2006.

Nada was a respecter of mother universe, mother nature, and living spiritual energies, both physical and supernatural. She loved the phases of the moon, the life of spring, and the shedding of fall; honoring natural cycles and transitions. A deep lover of the color purple, which she wore so beautifully.

She loved to cook, clean, dance, hike, laugh, and jam to Queen (one of her favorite bands)! She taught us boys (both her sons and so many that considered Nada Mom) how to do all the daily tasks and to be independent. Growing up we spent many summer weekends camping at Eagle Rock; finding rocks and stones for Mom; building campfires; and jamming tunes under the mountain stars. Nada loved her comfortable social environments with family and friends, dancing and being the life of many parties; especially at ‘The Beach’. Her perspectives were very blunt, hilarious, and coming from deep love. In any circumstances, situations, or struggles in our lives, whether good or bad, whatever our worries were, she would always say, ‘If it is meant to be, it will be’!

For work she spent time cleaning, cooking, and eventually she began a career in the field of respite and residential care for persons needing care, being an example for compassion to those needing daily support. She continued to clean, and eventually took a position as the lunch lady at an elementary school in Sturgeon Bay, where her granddaughter Caidyn attended! Which she was proud of and loved to experience! Taking Caidyn to the beach after school and in the summer days to play, swim, and eat cheesecurds! And later her last position at the Sturgeon Bay High School as a lunchlady. Renate was preceded in death by her father, Opa Fritz Mueller; Tante Erika; Onkel Fritz; Oma Mathilda Fredrick Mueller; Grandma Pauline Marie Thorson; Father-in-law Kermit Mitchell ‘Mickey’ Viste; Sister-in-law Paula Madoche.Renate is survived by her husband, Mitchel Allen Viste, sons Marc and Christopher Viste; Mother-in-law Jean Marie Viste; granddaughters Maddison May Clark & Fiance Kevin Delgado of Rawlins, WY; Caidyn and Alivia Viste of Cheyenne, WY; daughter-in-law Jenifer Viste; Korrie & Colton Carlson and Taylor Stolz; grandson Colin Jennings of Cheyenne, WY;

Mother, Oma Ursula Mueller; sister Helga Mueller; Brother Martin Mueller; nieces Alyssa Mueller; Anna Mueller; and nephew Robin Mueller, Sister-in-law Cheryl (Ed) Stewart, nephews Shadoe and Stoan Stewart, Niece Mandi Madoche, Nephew Jeremy (Crystal) Madoche, Brother-in-law Scot Viste.

Our Mom did not want a funeral, or a burial ceremony, she wanted to have an event to be remembered with people she loved, music she loved, and to party on. There will be a spreading of Nada’s ashes in Wisconsin & Wyoming.

Date, time, and location for her remembrance party will be discussed and determined at a later time.
