Ramiro passed away on May 25th, 2026.
Born on April 7, 1949 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas to Maria Chavez and Lupe Martinez.
He was raised in Devine, Texas with his siblings: Juanita, Lupe Jr, Lazaro, Raul, Robert and Isabel.
He had a long career as a meat cutter at Packerland and American Foods Group, where he eventually retired as a foreman with American Foods Group.
He had 8 children: Ramiro Jr (known as Joey), Sandy, April, Jason, Josh, Jon, July, and Enrique; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandkids, and great grandkids, who he loved so much.
He is survived by his sister Juanita (Mark), brothers Raul and Robert, children April, Jason, Josh (Kizzy) Jon, July, and Enrique (Abbie).
He is preceded in death by his mom Maria, dad Lupe, brothers Larazo and Lupe Jr, sister Isabel, and his two children Joey Jr and Sandy.
He liked socializing at many bars, loved rooting for the Cowboys, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was often found helping out friends during hunting season with processing the deer. Ramiro cherished his family and the friendships he made along the way.
As Billy Currington sang, and Ramiro would agree,
“God is Great, beer is good, and people are crazy”
