Patricia M. Ott

May 29, 1954 — May 20, 2026

Greenleaf, WI

Patricia M. Ott, age 71, of Greenleaf, passed away on May 20th, 2026 surrounded by her family after battling pancreatic cancer.

Born on May 29, 1954 to the late Kenneth and Marian (Erdmann) Detert, Pat was the last of 5 children. She graduated from Brillion High School in 1972. On November 17, 1973, Pat married Reed Ott at St. Mary’s Church, Brillion. Pat lived the majority of her life in Brillion and worked at Sentry Foods and, later, Piggly Wiggly in Brillion for over 30 years. In 2001, Pat and Reed built a home and moved to the country outside of Greenleaf. Pat was a member of Alleluia Lutheran Church, Greenleaf.

Pat was an avid Cubs fan and rarely missed an opportunity to sing “Go Cubs Go” after a W. However, her true joy was taking care of her family. Pat was an exceptional cook who spent countless hours preparing for holiday meals and “up north” family gatherings. Each year she enjoyed canning items from the garden to share with others.

Pat’s greatest pride came in caring for each of her 5 grandchildren from birth until they left for college. Grandma’s kitchen was a special place, famous for her daily “cooked-to-order” breakfasts and the memorable conversations that were had. She thoroughly enjoyed supporting all of the activities and loved sending along special treats for their teams.

Pat treasured time spent with family “up north”. She was always up for a game of Sheepshead and willing to teach anyone how to play. She treasured several vacations over the years and cherished memories of those with her grandkids to Disney, Yellowstone, and, most recently, to Arizona for spring training to see her favorite team.

Pat is survived by her husband of 52 years: Reed; a daughter Trichia (Tom) Nemecek of Greenleaf, and their children, Grace (Daniel) Niemeier and Grant Nemecek (Kendra Hohenstein); and a son, Robert (Mary) Ott of Wrightstown, and their children, Caroline (Cade) Engen, Reed Ott, and Brandon Ott. She is further survived by her siblings: Vicki McMahon, Ron (Sue) Detert, Sharon (Howard) Behnke, and Dave (Jeanette) Detert; her in-laws: Robin Ott, Raye Anne (Tom) Robinson, Cherie (Jim) Miller, Randy Ott, Donald Ott; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Marian and Kenneth Detert; Reed’s parents: Harold and Phyllis Ott; brothers-in-law: Kevin McMahon and Richard Ott, and sister-in-law Kathy Ott.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday May 26th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Wander Springs Golf Course, 19th Hole. Pat loved a good, comfortable gathering. Please leave the formal wear at home; casual dress is requested.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center and the Unity Hospice team for their care and support during this difficult time. Special thank you to Lisa, the Nurse Navigator, and Unity team members Margaret, Chaplain Dawn, and Kristen!

In memory of Pat and in gratitude for their wonderful care, the family requests that donations be made to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center or Unity Hospice in lieu of flowers.
