Oliver 'Bud' Kuen passed away on October 12, 2023, with his family by his side. He was born January 6, 1935, to Margaret and Vernon Kuen in Fond du Lac, WI. He married Yvonne Wondra May 10, 1958. They had five children: Katie (Nick) Locke, Dan (Mary Pat) Kuen, Laura (Tony) Herrick, Doug (Tami) Kuen, and Mary (Steve) Grosklaus. They were blessed with 12 grandchildren: Ellen, Cody, Kristi, Alex, Ryan, Kyle, Michael, Kevin, Nathan, Sam, Jacob, and Evan as well as 5 great-grandchildren: Lucas, Cullen, Leo, Logan and Oaklynn.
Oliver served in the Army and was stationed in Korea in the motor pool where his love and knowledge of cars came from. He retired from Frito Lay after being "the Frito bandito" for over 35 years.
He loved spending summer weekends with the Friendship Boat Club in the 80's and 90's. Then they moved and enjoyed living the lake life on Lake Winnebago complete with his tinkering shop across the road until the lake flies drove them away.
Alzheimer's disease may have taken his memories but his family and friends will remember him as the best Old Fashioned maker, organizer extraordinaire, and friend to all.
Oliver is survived by his siblings: Carma Schibline, Helen Aschenbrenner, Mary (Gary) Waite, Dave (Jan) Kuen and many nieces and nephews. He was welcomed in heaven by his parents Margaret and Vernon Kuen, brothers-in-law Jack Schibline and Roger Aschenbrenner and the entire Wondra family.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 21. Visitation from 1-3 PM. Funeral Mass at 3:00 PM. St Francis Home Chapel 33 Everett St Fond du Lac, WI 54935.
