Mindy J. Bomske

August 1, 1950 — September 4, 2025

Mindy Joy (Olson) Bomske, 75, of Allouez, WI, passed away on September 4, 2025, at Bellin Hospital after a long illness. Her husband was at her side when she peacefully reunited with her parents in heaven.

She was born on August 1, 1950, in the city of Rochelle, Illinois to the late Melvin Jay and Zori (Gasway) Olson. Mindy met Gary Daniel Bomske at the Riviera Bowling Lanes, fell in love, and subsequently married on October 20, 1984, at the Presbyterian Church on Monroe Avenue in Green Bay. Mindy and Gary were married for 41+ years.

She attended Preble High School and then Carrol College to get her Bachelor of Science major in Kindergarten-Elementary Education with a minor in Theater Arts.

Before marriage, Mindy taught elementary school in the Green Bay Area Public School system in the early to late ‘70s. She worked at Fabry Glove and Northwest Engineering Inc.

Mindy loved crafting, stitching, scrapbooking but also enjoyed bingo, bowling, watching football, particularly the Green Bay Packers, and just being with her family to include Dexter, a boxer/beagle mix. She also loved pizza, and baked delicious desserts.

Mindy had a very private personality and did not like her picture taken. She was a considerate and loving wife, and excellent mother to her two sons.

Mindy is survived by her loving husband: Gary; sons Andrew Daniel Bomske, William Lee Kesler (stepson); brothers-in-law Dale Bomske, Thomas (Michelle) Bomske, David (Norma) Bomske, Steven Michael Bomske, and sister-in-law Linda Ann Bomske, niece: Zorabel Elizabeth Olson; Aunt: Caroline Nierman, cousins: Lynn Ransford, Becky Anderson.

Mindy was preceded in death by her parents Melvin Jay and Zorabel Olson; brother Melvin Jay Olson; Aunt: Betty Rickaby; Cousin: Terrie Gershman; Gizzy (Border Collie and Springer mix) and Tami (yellow Labrador mutt).

Cremation will be managed by Simply Cremation. Online condolences may be shared at www.simplycremationgb.com.

Mindy’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the Bellin Hospital Care team to include the Intensive Care Unit, Unity Hospice team, and Chaplain staff for their sincere effort, genuine care, and thoughtfulness during Mindy’s final days here on earth.

“Your suffering and discomfort are no more, and you are re-united with family and relatives. Your reward will be great in heaven.”
