Milton Bruce Miller, age 95, of Weyauwega, WI passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on April 21, 2026.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis; two children: Marilyn (William) Maske, and Jeffrey (Kathleen) Miller; six grandchildren: Jeffrey Jr. (Ladeana) Miller, Joshua (Kelly) Miller, Thad (Sara) Maske, Jed (Nicole) Miller, Megan Maske, and McCall (Jesse) Zupke; six great-grandchildren; two brothers: Wilbur (Elizabeth) Miller, and David (Linda) Miller; sisters-in-law Rebecca Miller, and Jean Miller; brother-in-law Norbert Laszewski; many nieces and nephews; as well as his wife’s siblings and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents Milton C. Miller and Doris (Neubauer) Miller; siblings Donald Miller, LaVerne Miller, and Elaine (Miller) Laszewski; daughter-in-law Bonita Miller; nephew Scott Laszewski; his wife’s parents Harry and Florence Knoke; brothers-in-law David Knoke, and Edward Knoke; and sister-in-law Delores (Knoke) Aulicino.

Milton was born on February 24, 1931, in Waupaca, WI to Milton C. and Doris Miller. Though often a shy and soft-spoken child, he was raised to value hard work and scriptural principles with his younger siblings Donald, LaVerne, Elaine, Wilbur, and David.

He met Phyllis Knoke of Amherst, WI in 1950 when her family moved to the area and joined the Miller family in Bible discussions. On April 4, 1953, Milton and Phyllis were married in Amherst. Thus began their 73 years together, hand in hand. Their devotion to each other throughout the decades will continue to be an example to all who have known them. As their family grew with each new generation, Milton whole-heartedly embraced his roles as father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He never wavered in his reasonableness, his mildness & patience, and his steadfastness, always loyal to the values that were instilled in him in his youth. As Milt – Dad – Papa – Gramps, he was greatly respected and deeply loved by all in his family.

He was also held in high regard by his friends and community. A glance into his home office revealed his skill for bookkeeping and organization, as well as his enjoyment of polka music and John Deere tractors. He loved his time as a farmer, and those memories of the land and livestock stayed active in his mind until his final days.

Milton was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on June 22, 1947, in Madison, WI. He humbly served the local congregation as an elder for over 50 years, always seeking to encourage others. Love for Jehovah God and faith in His Kingdom motivated Milton to teach others about scriptural truths. Wherever he was, he could strike up a conversation with a stranger and, at the right moment, encourage them to look into the Bible. He wanted everyone to know about the precious hope of a paradise earth—a hope he learned from his father as a young boy and held close throughout his life.

We eagerly await the day we are reunited with Milton on that paradise earth. Until then, he will be greatly missed and remembered by all as a man of integrity, faith, and love.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at E3273 Apple Tree Ln in Waupaca, WI. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., with the memorial service beginning at 3:00 p.m. CST. For those unable to attend in-person, the service will be available on Zoom. ID: 510 427 488 / PW: 002598
