Michael Stonebraker, age 62, of Mishicot, WI, died Saturday morning, July 5, 2025 from leukemia. In his last days he was surrounded by his family and friends talking, laughing, singing, and praying over him.
He was born May 17, 1963 in San Francisco, CA, son of Ray Alfred (Carol) Stonebraker and the late Judith Ann Baker (Holleman).
Michael graduated from Fresno High School in 1981. In the same year he joined the Navy and was selected for the Nuclear Program. After the Navy, he spent most of his instrumentation and training career working for Point Beach Nuclear Power Plant in Two Rivers, WI.
On April 18th, 1992, he married Rebecca Beloin at Faith Evangelical Church in Manitowoc, WI. They were married for 33 years and had thirteen wonderful children who currently reside in Wisconsin.
He enjoyed playing softball for over twenty years and was manager for his Point Beach Nuclear Power Plant team.
He, and his older sons, were actively involved in the annual Easter Resurrection Play in Manitowoc for many years during which he enjoyed playing a variety of acting roles.
Michael is survived by his family, including his wife, Rebecca (Beloin) Stonebraker, two brothers, Jeff (Kathy) Ball of Antelope, CA, and Mark Hoadley residing in CA; two brothers-in-law, Ray (May) Beloin living in Chiang Mai, Thailand, Chris (Kim) Beloin of Grafton, WI; one sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Mark) Koldoff of Oklahoma City, OK, and many nieces and nephews. His children are Michael Alan, Elijah (Amarissa), Isaiah, Daniel (Grace), Joseph, Judah, Abigail Welch (John), Sarah, Enoch, Nikkala, Anna, Isaac and Jonathan. He also was blessed with one grandson, Peter.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26th at the Franciscan Center for Music Education and Performance at 6751 Calumet Avenue, Manitowoc. Visitation will be at 2:00PM, the service will be at 4:00 with a fellowship and meal to follow.
