Megan Marie Gunderson

Megan Marie Gunderson passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 37, after a lifelong illness with Cystic Fibrosis.

Megan was born in Rhinelander, WI on August 21, 1989. She grew up in Crandon, WI and graduated from Crandon High School. She then moved to Green Bay where she worked as an Executive Assistant at the Children’s Museum of Green Bay. On March 17, 2019, she received an amazing blessing of a double lung transplant at the UW Health University Hospital in Madison.

Megan lived life to its fullest and enjoyed cooking, painting, music, traveling and being with her friends and family. She was an avid animal lover and cherished all her kitties – she is survived by Lucy, Slash and Ninja, her devoted feline friends.

She is also survived by her mother, Sharon Gunderson, Crandon, WI; biological father, Michael Lewis, Laona, WI; sisters, Erika Deaton, Crandon, WI, Danielle (Michael) Prokash, Menasha, WI, Shelly (Douglas) Knight, Antigo, WI; brother, Leif Gunderson (Jade Widucki), Crandon, WI, along with many loving cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Richard Gunderson; grandparents, Daniel and Doris Gunderson, John and Harriet Swenson and Don and Arletta Lewis.

A celebration of life will be held on October 24, 2026, at the Argonna Town Hall.

Her entire family is very grateful and thankful for the kindness and support shown during this difficult time.
