Mary D. Kolosowski

February 26, 1957 — March 5, 2026

Mary Kolosowski gained her heavenly wings on March 5, 2026.

Surrounded by the love of her daughter Veronica and son-in-law Dan, she was held in God’s peace, Mary Kolosowski entered her heavenly home on March 5, 2026. Though our hearts ache with her absence, we rejoice in knowing she is now whole, restored, and wrapped in the everlasting light of her Savior.

Mary was a caring, vibrant, loving, and joyful mother who always tried to see the good in everyone. She loved the warmth of the sun—summer was her favorite time of year—and she carried that same warmth in her spirit. Mary cherished her soulmate and late husband, Wayne; they were blessed with 51 and a half years of marriage before God called him home last December. We take comfort in imagining them reunited, dancing together once more or going for a nice car ride in their '69 GTO with the top down.

Mary loved to swim and dance, and we’d like to think she is doing both now in Heaven. She was a true animal lover, especially devoted to her horse Cheyenne, the German Shepherds Gingers 1–3 and Sadie Lynn, and the many cats who shared her homestead over the years. A “people person” through and through, Mary spent most of her life as a waitress—a role that suited her perfectly, allowing her to meet many wonderful people and brighten their days with her smile and kind heart. She shined a light on others, and if you knew her, you were likely touched by that beaming light.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Veronica (husband Dan); her mother, Rosemary Russo; and her siblings, Diane, Dorothy, Tony, Michael, Yvonne, Frank, and Rosie. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Waiting to lovingly usher her into Heaven were her father, Michael Russo; her grandparents, Grandma and Grandpa Munson; her dear sister Michelle; and her dear brother‑in‑law Ron, husband of her sister Yvonne, along with many other cherished friends & family who went before her.

Mary’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and quiet faith (just like her husband). Even in seasons of hardship and loss, she met each day with courage, gratitude, and a heart that chose faith& joy. Those who knew her will remember her laughter, her warmth, her amazing smile and the way she made others feel seen and cared for.

“But let all who take refuge in you be glad;

let them ever sing for joy.

Spread your protection over them,

that those who love your name may rejoice in you.”

— Psalm 5:11

Mary will be celebrated alongside her beloved husband, Wayne, on Saturday, March 28th at Green Bay Community Church (600 Cardinal Ln Green Bay). It is beautifully fitting to honor them together, as those who knew them understood how inseparable they were in life. Wayne waited fifteen months for his love to join him, and now we gather to celebrate their lives, their devotion, and the joy they shared.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by a short service at 12:00 PM, during which friends and family are welcome to share memories or offer a prayer for Mary and Wayne. Afterward, all are invited to join us for a light lunch and refreshments, including a few of their favorite treats, as we remember them with warmth, gratitude, and love.

May all who loved Mary find comfort in God’s promise of refuge and joy, and may her light continue to shine through the lives she touched.
