Marie “Missy” H. Bastian, age 61, went to heaven on October 20, 2026. Missy was battling lung cancer and was surrounded by loved ones in her final moments.
Missy was the daughter of the late Arnold and Lois Schuh. Missy attended schools in Manitowoc County and graduated with the class of 1983 from Manitowoc Lincoln High School.
Missy was funny, outspoken, and truly the life of the party. She had a personality that could light up a room and was never afraid to speak her mind. She brought laughter, honesty, and her own special spark wherever she went. Missy was one of a kind, and those who knew her will remember her for her unforgettable personality and the memories made in her company.
Above all, Missy took great pride in her family, especially her four beloved grandchildren, Brody, Chase, Finnegan, and Emmett, who held a special place in her heart. She also found joy in tending to her flower beds, making her cherished tortes, and spending time with her beloved dogs. Whether she was caring for her flowers, baking something special, or enjoying time with family and friends, Missy had her own way of making life memorable.
Missy will be lovingly remembered by her two children, Justin Bastian of Whitelaw and Samantha (Phillip) Loberger of Hobart; her four grandchildren, Brody, Chase, Finnegan, and Emmett; and her two sisters and two brothers, Patricia Reznichek of Shawano, Gary (Brenda) Schuh of Appleton, Eric (Belinda) Schuh of Manitowoc, and Jody Roffers of Phoenix, Arizona, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
The family extends a special and heartfelt thank-you to Missy’s greatest friends, Jennifer Sprang and Wanda Satori, for always being there for her. Their friendship, love, and unwavering support meant more than words can express.
Missy leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Her outspoken nature, wonderful sense of humor, love for her family, beautiful flower beds, delicious tortes, and devotion to her dogs will forever be part of the memories cherished by those who loved her.
Missy was truly one of a kind, and there will never be another quite like her. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026 at the Whitelaw Fire Station, 330 E Menasha Ave Whitelaw, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
