Marcia (Weyenberg) Bolssen

On Sunday, September 24, 2023, Marcia lost her battle with breast cancer. Her strength, determination, kindness, and positivity were evident to anyone who knew her.

Marcia was born on May 12, 1953, to Gordon and Joyce Weyenberg. On August 24, 1974, she married the love of her life and best friend, Dennis Bolssen. God blessed them with two sons, Jason and Matt. Nothing meant more to her than being their Mom. Marcia loved Jason and Matt unconditionally with everything she had. She was extremely proud of the men they've become and loved her two amazing daughters-in-law, Mindi and Marisa as her own.

Here greatest joy was when she became a Grandma to Bennett. She adored him and being his Grandma meant the world to her.

Marcia is survived by her husband, Dennis; their sons, Jason (Mindi) Bolssen and Matthew (Marisa) Bolssen and their son, Bennett. Her snuggle bug, Bowser; her grandfur babies, Lola, Fiona, Sadie and Spryt. She is further survived by brother-in-law, Wayne Kurowski; sister, Carol (Bob) Bolssen. Brothers-in-law, Rogar Bolssen, Ron Bolssen and many nieces and nephews.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents Gordon and Joyce Weyenberg; sister, Nancy Kurowski; In-laws, Clarence and Esther Bolssen, Donna Bolssen, Donna (Jerry) Cumber, Gerald Bolssen, Pat Hyde and Bonnie McArdle.

Marcia and her family would like to send a special thanks to Dr. Kevin Mortara, Patti Marquardt and the staff from Bellin Cancer Team for their excellent care. They would also like to thank the team at Bellin Interventional Radiology for the care and compassion shown to her. Also to Dean Weycker at the Palliative Care Center.
Special thanks to her relatives and friends for their generous and comforting love and support.
