Manutau “Sal” Kordus, of Green Bay, passed away on July 10, 2026, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer.
Sal was a quiet and independent soul who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed spending time playing video games, watching sci-fi movies, and listening to his favorite band, KISS. Growing up, he was a devoted fan of WWF wrestling and enjoyed watching it with his dad when young. He had a deep love for animals, particularly his dogs, who were constant companions throughout his life.
Sal worked in the lawn and yard care industry, where he took pride in his work and the relationships he built along the way. Though he often kept to himself, those closest to him knew his loyalty, silent strength, sense of humor, and kind heart.
He shared a special bond with his nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly. Sal and the family would like to extend gratitude to their longtime family friend Larry Skinkis, who stood by him and looked out for him over the years.
He is preceded in death by his father, Manutau Semo (2013), and his mother, Patricia (Kordus) Semo (2025). He is survived by his sisters, Alicia (Matt) Wicker and Justine (Beto) Kordus; his nieces and nephews, Cynthia, Christina, Christen, Mariah, Joseph, Jesse, Madelyn, and Lauren; and his great-nieces, Ava and Avayah.
Sal will be remembered for his quiet presence, his resilience, stubbornness, and the love he held for his family and loyal companions. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Pastor Endris, Ken Kettner, Amber Shaw, and Dan Bains who gave him encouragement, checked in on him, and helped with rides to treatment and Doctor appointments during the last two years. The family would also like to thank the staff at Unity Hospice for their care of Sal.
