Loren D. Madden

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected and untimely passing of Loren Madden, 64 of Brillion on August 9, 2026.

Loren was born on July 18, 1962 to Earl and Shirley (Seymour) Madden in Milwaukee. He was the 5th of 6 children. He was a 1980 graduate of James Madison High School; In 1983 he married Katherine Manian and together they raised two daughters, Nikki & Jenna. They unfortunately eventually divorced, but remained incredibly close friends. He was also close with Kathy’s son Kasey, and enjoyed watching him play baseball on a regular basis. 

Loren later married Lorie (Mattson nee Seidl) and became an amazing stepfather to Jason & Keith. After 14 years of marriage, He lovingly and deeply cared for Lorie during her cancer treatments and then while she was on hospice. Lorie sadly passed away in 2014. 

He then married Renee (Kohl nee Dunn) and got to add two more stepchildren, Emily & Jacob. Loren once again faced deep heartache and had to lovingly and without hesitation care for Renee when she was diagnosed with metastatic cancer. Renee sadly passed away in 2025. He then endured yet another devastating heartbreak when his son Keith passed away in January of 2026.

Loren was a truly remarkable man. He endured a lot of heartache, hardships and headaches in his life, and yet he remained faithful to the Lord. He was kind, genuine, loving, humble, and extremely hardworking. He had a heart of gold, and treated everyone with respect. He was a butcher by trade and was a part of an incredible family at Haen Meats (The Meat Block) in Kaukauna. He had an amazing sense of humor and was always telling a joke or asking someone to pull his finger.

Family meant everything to Loren. His children and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. We didn’t consider anyone “step” or “half” we were just family. We never left physically or even just in conversation without saying “I love you.” He is the absolute best father and grandfather anyone could ever ask for. He was the number one fan, the biggest supporter of everything we did. He was always the loudest fan, yelling words of encouragement; not just for his children or grandchildren, but for every kid on the team. His greatest joy over the last couple of years was watching Jameson and his teammates compete in every sport/season of the year; He made a point to learn everyone’s names and jersey numbers so he could yell from the stands or sidelines.

He was always just a phone call away and would do anything for anyone, anytime.

Though this loss is excruciatingly painful for us, We know Loren had an incredible reunion in Heaven with his father Earl, his wives Lorie & Renee, and his son Keith.

Loren will be sadly missed by the mother of his girls, Kathy (Dan); his children: Jason (Stacy), Nikki (Kris), Jenna, Emily, Jacob (Casey), Kasey (Jenny). Grandchildren: McKenna (Nico), Kailyn (Eloy), Jameson, Antwon, Eric, Arieana & Anyela. His mother, Shirley; Siblings: Linda (Glen), Larry (Sue), Laurie (Kevin), LouAnn (Jon) & Les and multiple Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many, many friends and colleagues.

Services will be held at Freedom Fellowship in Kaukauna (112 Main St) on Saturday, September 12, 2026. Visitation from 1-2, with a brief service beginning at 2 pm.
