Lisa (Shipley) Babiash, 60, of Crivitz and formerly of Howard, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, surrounded by the family she cherished above all else, after courageously facing pancreatic cancer.
Born March 19, 1965, to the late Eugene and Nathalie (Nelson) Shipley, Lisa grew up with a generous heart that would define her entire life. A 1983 graduate of Bay Port High School, she married her soulmate, Michael Babiash, on May 17, 1986, at St. Anne's Episcopal Church, beginning a love story that would span nearly four decades.
Lisa devoted thirty years to Georgia Pacific before retiring in 2022, but her true calling was being there for others. She volunteered for the Ovarian Cancer Golf Outing for years and was always the first to raise her hand—whether to make her famous taco dip, bake, organize, or simply show up. Lisa played softball and volleyball for many years, but her greatest joy was cheering from the sidelines. She never missed a single event for her children and volunteered as a team manager. She was also known as the unofficial family photographer, camera always in hand to capture every moment.
Family was the center of Lisa's world. She delighted in every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, creating a legacy of love, laughter, and treasured memories that will endure in the hearts of all who knew her.
Lisa is survived by her devoted husband, Michael; her son Bryce (Paige) and their children Micah and Jaden; her daughter Bryana (Kyle Flannery) and their children Lily, Sebastian, and Hixon “Ross”; her siblings Dianne Berendsen, Karen (Gary) Gutzman, Kay (Chap) Spejcher, Jean (John) Halvorsen, Laurie Calewarts, Tim (RuthAnn) Shipley, and Kerry (Dolores) Shipley; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers John and Jim Shipley.
Family and friends may come for visitation from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Green Bay Community Church Chapel, 600 Cardinal Ln, Green Bay, WI 54313. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM.
The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at St. Mary's Oncology and Unity Hospice, especially Cheryl, for their outstanding care.
