Linda Lee Rogers, age 81, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She lived a life defined by kindness, service, creativity, and a deep devotion to those she loved.
Born Linda Guerts on November 3, 1944, she was one of nine children and was raised in De Pere, Wisconsin. Growing up in a large family helped shape the caring and generous spirit that would become her hallmark throughout her life.
On June 19, 1964, Linda married the love of her life, Carl LeRoy Rogers. Together they built a marriage that spanned more than six decades and created a home marked by commitment, family, and many happy memories. They raised three sons: Michael, David, and Daniel. Linda dedicated herself to her family, staying home to raise her boys during their early years and ensuring they always felt loved, encouraged, and cared for.
When her youngest son, Daniel, entered school, Linda pursued her long-held goal of becoming a nurse. After returning to school, she had a rewarding career caring for others, working in nursing for 25 years, first at the Good Shepard Nursing Home in Seymour, Wisconsin and later at St. Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay. Nursing was more than a profession for Linda—it was a reflection of who she was. Whether at work, among neighbors, or within her family, she was always looking after someone, offering comfort, support, and compassion wherever it was needed.
Family was the center of Linda’s world. She loved summers at the family cottage up north, where countless memories were made around the lake with family and friends. She especially enjoyed hosting many gatherings alongside her dearest friends, Sharon Geurts and Judy Schumal.
In 1998, Linda and Carl retired and moved full-time to northern Wisconsin on Lake Oneonta. They enjoyed a wonderful retirement filled with golf, fishing, and many happy winters spent in South Carolina. Together they built a life rich in friendship, adventure, and simple joys.
Linda’s love for children was boundless. She delighted in every child she encountered and found immense joy when she became a grandmother in 2012. She doted on her grandchildren and warmly embraced any child who could use a little extra grandmotherly love. Her grandchildren brought her endless pride and happiness, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
A gifted quilter and knitter, Linda expressed her love through the creations she made by hand. Countless quilts, blankets, hats, and knitted treasures now live on as cherished family heirlooms, each stitch reflecting her patience, talent, and affection.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved son, Michael Rogers, who passed away in 2015.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Carl Rogers; her sons, David Rogers and his wife, Susan Harris, and Daniel Rogers; and her treasured grandchildren, Matilda Rogers, Judith Rogers, and Benjamin Rogers. She is also survived by her siblings, extended family members, and many friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness.
