Linda Maxine Rogers passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and faithful service.
Born in Rockford, Illinois, on November 27, 1948, Linda was the daughter of George and Frances Brown. She devoted many years to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
On June 26, 1981, Linda married William Lee Rogers. They enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling, and making memories together. After William’s passing and her retirement, Linda moved from Holdrege, Nebraska, to Green Bay, Wisconsin, to be near her sister and family.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, William; her parents, George and Frances Brown; and her brother, George Brown Jr.
She is survived by her sister, Nellie Hawkinson of Green Bay, Wisconsin; her stepsons, Tracy (Kathy) Rogers of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Tim Rogers of Holdrege, Nebraska; and many extended family members and friends.
Linda was known for her gentle spirit, listening ear, and kind words. She called everyone “honey” and made people feel loved and valued. She also had a deep love for animals and cared for them with great tenderness.
Linda’s life reflected Christ’s love and the call to serve others. Even while facing her own health challenges, she continued to care sacrificially for those around her, especially her sister. She lived out the words of Galatians 5:13: “By love serve one another.”
Linda was a humble servant, loving sister, devoted aunt, and caring friend. Though she will be deeply missed, her unconditional love and faithful example will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Her family finds comfort in the promise of Romans 8:38–39:“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Memorial Service/Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29, at 10:30 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. The service will be held at:Highland Crest Baptist Church1830 South Military Ave. Green Bay, WI. The service will be officiated by Pastor Chad Hertler.
