Kristy Becker-Nielson, born May 28, 1971 in Marinette, WI., passed away peacefully at her home in Wausaukee, Wisconsin on December 25, 2025 — Christmas Day — while under hospice care.
Kristy was the most selfless and loving woman to ever step foot on this earth.
She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Nielson; and her children, Kayla, Kyle (Kendra), and Kodee, along with Jeff, whom she raised and loved as her own. Together, Kristy and Richard were devoted guardians to James, Jayden, Haylie, and Sam, providing them with a loving and stable home. Kristy was also a proud grandmother to her grandson Jack, who brought her immeasurable joy.
Kristy was preceded in death by her parents, Karryn and Edwin Becker; and her sister Peggy.
She is survived by her siblings James (Tonia) and Scott (Khristy), all of whom held a special place in her heart.
At her core, Kristy was defined by her selflessness and unwavering love for others. She had a heart that never stopped giving — always putting the needs of her family, especially children, before her own. Caring for others wasn’t something she did out of obligation; it was simply who she was.
As her son Kyle would say, “She loved like Jesus.” Kristy lived her faith through action — offering compassion, patience, and grace freely and without hesitation. She gave even when it meant going without herself, never expecting anything in return.
Kristy found her greatest joy in her family. She was happiest when surrounded by those she loved — sharing stories, laughter, and everyday moments that became lasting memories. Her role as a wife, mother, guardian, and grandmother was the greatest calling of her life.
Even through illness, Kristy faced each season with quiet strength and courage. She never stopped fighting and remained focused on the well-being of her family until the very end. Her strength was not loud, but steady — rooted in love, faith, and resilience.
In accordance with Kristy’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. When the time is right, her family will gather privately with close friends to share stories, memories, and celebrate her life in the simple and meaningful way she wanted.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kristy’s honor to support her family during this time. Donations can be made through GoFundMe at:
Kristy’s faith, love, and selflessness will live on through the family she built and the countless lives she touched. We take comfort in knowing she is now healed, free from pain, and resting peacefully in God’s presence.
