Kenneth J. Boyd

Kenneth John Boyd, 70, of Green Bay, Wisconsin went home to be with the Lord on July 15, 2026. Kenneth passed away after complications from pneumonia, he was attended by his loved ones in his final moments.

Kenneth was born in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin on February 26, 1956 to parents John and Ione "Betty" (nee Marshall) Boyd. Ken resided in Whitewater, Wisconsin on his family's homestead throughout his youth. He attended Whitewater High School where he enjoyed playing football and wrestling. In August 2025, he celebrated his 50th reunion.

Ken met the love of his life, Roberta Boyd, while he was working for Schopen's, a local towing company. He met her while she was sitting, crying on the steps of the Whitewater post office because her car would not start. Being a student at the university, she had very little money to fix it. Ken offered his services to this damsel in distress, and the rest is history. The two were married on April 13, 1985 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Ken was a tow truck driver for Schopen's in Whitewater, but after they moved to Green Bay, he continued in the towing business with his own company, "B&B Towing". Later, the pair started "The Map Company" which they kept on until 2001. Ken and Roberta also began a nursing home ministry called "Because You Matter Ministries," which was a passion for both of them through the end of their lives. Ken was also involved in his local church, Graceway Fellowship, as well as with natural disaster relief.

Ken is survived by his son, John (Michaela) Boyd; three grandsons, Henry, Connor, and Ian Boyd; his older brother Gordy (Cindy) Boyd; assorted nieces and nephews; and former spouse and mother to his son, Patricia Erickson. 

He is preceded in death by his spouse, Roberta Boyd, his parents, John and Ione "Betty" Boyd; his brother Harvey Boyd; and other extended family.

The family would like to thank his brothers and sisters in Christ at Graceway Fellowship, the many friends and dear neighbors who have watched over him throughout the years following Roberta's passing, and his niece Angie Winters for always connecting with him and making time to see him, he really enjoyed your visits.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, August 22 at Graceway Fellowship at 1750 Dousman Street from 1pm-3pm. We will have a brief visitation from 1-1:30pm, with services starting at 1:30 and a dessert social following.
