February 27, 1945 — January 18, 2023

Joyce L. (Hanover-Chilcote) Ciha passed into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 18th.

Joyce was born February 27th, 1945 to Herman and Evelyne (Lawrence) Hanover of Green Bay, Wisconsin. Joyce raised her children in Green Bay and later in New Franken Wisconsin. She worked at Woodside Nursing Home where she showed her amazing compassion with the elderly. She also worked at Shopko in Ashwaubenon, WI where she shared her friendly, out going personality with everyone she met. She was a second mom to many of her children's friends and her home was a safe and friendly place to play. In 1986 Roger and Joyce, along with her children, moved to a beautiful farm house in New Franken where they tended a large garden with Joyce's mother, Evelyne and her step-father Stanley Kanz. Joyce enjoyed playing cards and board games with her family and friends. Joyce was a kind and giving woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Joyce's sons would like to give a heartfelt thank you to their sister, Lisa and her family, "for tending to our mother's needs while us boys were unable due to distance". Her compassion is a testament to our mother's love and instruction.

The family would like to thank all of the Doctor's in the Advocate-Aurora medical system, the staff at Edenbrook Rehabilitation Center, Aurora Hospice, and Amy with IRIS, for all of the care and support they offered to Joyce in her last years and months.
