Jon A. Morzenti

February 26, 1954 — October 12, 2025

Jon A. Morzenti, 71, of Green Bay, passed away on October 12, 2025, surrounded by his family in the comfort of his home. He joined the love of his life in eternal rest.

Jon was born in Ironwood, MI, on February 26, 1954, to the late Charles and Anna (Hornick) Morzenti. He was recruited to play football in college, but following the untimely passing of his mother, he returned home. After several years of work, Jon pursued a year-long carpentry apprenticeship with an old-world master craftsman. Jon went on to build a successful construction company in Montreal, WI, with his good friend and business partner Jim Giuliano, where Jon’s excellence in craftsmanship and work ethic were well known.

Jon married Maureen Pozzani on December 11, 1982, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hurley, WI. He devoted his life to providing and caring for his wife and daughters. Together, they created a home filled with love and lasting memories.

Jon loved the outdoors and embraced every season to the fullest. In the winter, he could often be found cross-country skiing or snowshoeing, his favorite cold-weather pastimes. When the snow melted, he enjoyed long walks, hiking, and camping in the woods, finding peace and renewal in nature. He also had a lifelong passion for hunting, whether at the hunting camp, in a deer stand, bird hunting with his dog Shylo, or turkey hunting out west. Beyond his hobbies, Jon was a deeply supportive person, always ready to help anyone in need, quick to lend a hand, and share his skills whenever he could.

Jon enjoyed watching his daughters excel in sports and academics, finding fulfillment in coaching their Little League Softball Teams. He took great pride in watching his daughters grow into the remarkable women they are today. Jon maintained a close bond with his daughters and especially treasured the times when they reunited each year. Those cherished gatherings always began with his signature words: “Let the party begin.”

Jon is survived by his daughters, Michelle Kaiserlian (Jason Hoogerhyde), Cora Heemstra (Shimron), Hanna Morzenti (P. Charles Miller), Olivia Morzenti, Antonia Morzenti (Mohamed Boutbhirt); his honorary daughter, Teresa Kasper; his grandchildren, Sonora, Abigail, Kristin, Tadd, Collyn, Anthony Jon (AJ), Thomas, Matteo, Leonidas, Adam, and the eagerly awaited arrival of the newest grandchild, who will forever carry the love Jon already held in his heart.

He is also survived by his sister, Virginia DeBenedictis, brother, Gary Morzenti; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Sharon Morzenti, Peter Pozzani (Bobbie), Andrea Soltis , Danny Pozzani (Michelle), Marica Pozzani; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Jon was preceded in death by siblings: Kathleen Gregory (John), Charles Morzenti, Donald Morzenti (Jean), Kenny Morzenti (Colleen), David Morzenti; brothers-in-law, Paul DeBenedictis and Jim Soltis; and sister-in-law, Yvonne Morzenti.

Out of respect for his wishes, cremation has taken place, and no formal service or celebration of life will be held.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to one of the following organizations that brought much joy and happiness to Jon’s life: Hurley Area Youth Softball, Range Strikers Soccer Club, Hurley K-12 School, or the Green Bay Botanical Garden.

“Until we find the bridge across forever,
Until this grand illusion brings us home,
You and I will always be together,
From this day on you’ll never walk alone.”
– Glenn Frey, “Part of Me, Part of You”
