John Talbot, 89 of Brookfield, WI passed away peacefully while briefly under hospice care. Born on November 20, 1932 in Milwaukee, he was the son of Edward and Angela (nee Kasun) Talbot. Since January 5, 1965, he resided in the house he designed and built with his loving wife Joyce (nee Lindner) of 61 years. John served our country stateside while in the Army during the Korean War. For most of his career, he was the new car manager of the top Oldsmobile dealership for 20 consecutive years in the state of Wisconsin. After his retirement at age 55, Joyce and John enjoyed golfing together and traveling to Florida for extended vacations. Joyce preceded him in death in 2017 at age 84. They were born the same year, only 3 days apart.
He is survived by his son Steve (Jody) and his three grandchildren: Richard John “R.J.” - named after his grandfather (Lexi) Combined Locks, WI; Morgan (Jesse) Neenah, WI; and Spencer (Lilli) Madison, WI. John is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Oswald and Lorraine Mundt. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Marvin and Doris Lindner, James and Marion Bartley, and nephew Lutz Wohkittel.
A private family gathering will occur at a later time to honor John’s memory.
