John Douglas Boyce

John Douglas Boyce, 84, Suamico, passed away Friday, August, 7, 2026 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

John was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on July 18, 1942 to parents August and Florence (Zaden) Boyce. He graduated from Green Bay West high school in 1960 and worked as an Engraver for over 50 years at Industrial Engraving, Northern Engraving and GB Embossing.

He married Judith Koehne on June 27, 1964. They had a wonderful 62 years together enjoying traveling, baseball, and just spending time together.

His love of baseball was not just playing, but also coaching his sons who played Little League and Babe Ruth. John also enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, watching sports, and gambling. John and Judie also enjoyed spending many winters in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, escaping from the cold Wisconsin winters.

John is survived by his loving wife, Judie; his two sons Brian (Sherri) and Bruce (Julie); his granddaughter Kristin (Jay) Coston; great-grandchildren Camryn, Ariana, Ayden, and Londyn Coston; brother Ron Boyce; brother-in-laws Dan Koehne, Jim (Dorene) Koehne, and Paul (Joanne) Koehne; sister-in-law Jean Aubin; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceeded in death by his parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law Dan and Alice Koehne, brothers Rick, Tom, Rob, Jeff; and sister-in-laws Charlene Boyce and Sue Koehne.

The family would like to thank Unity Hospice, especially Nicole, who took great care of him on his final journey.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate John's life on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Rock Garden Banquet Hall, located at 1951 Bond Street in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The gathering will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with family reflections at 4:00 p.m. and dinner served at 5:00 p.m.
