Joaquin Castillo Aguilar, age 83, of Green Bay, passed away in Clintonville on Thursday, July 17, 2025. He was born on August 16, 1941, in Guantánamo, Oriente, Cuba, the son of the late Abelardo and Ana Rosa Castillo Aguilar.
Joaquin spent the first twenty-some years of his life in Cuba before immigrating to Florida for a short time. He eventually settled in Chicago, where he met the mother of his children. Throughout his life, Joaquin owned a jewelry store, a durable medical equipment company, and several bars. In his free time, he enjoyed cooking Hispanic food, playing pool, and card games. A very social person, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.
Joaquin is survived by his children, John (Carman) Aguilar and Eddy (Nicole) Aguilar. He is also survived by his brothers, sister, nieces, nephews, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, brothers, sisters, stepdaughter, and stepson.
A celebration of life for Joaquin will be held in the near future.
We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Care Partners in Clintonville for the compassionate and dedicated care they provided to Joaquin.
