Joan Willems

My journey began in Kansas City, MO on April 21, 1946, and peacefully ended in Appleton, WI on July 29, 2026. 

Alban and Marie (Carter) Bauer welcomed me into their lives and home in Kaukauna, WI in June 1946 and gave me love and lots of memories. I can only hope that my two awesome daughters, Anna Jean and Sherri Lynn, will remember me with love and laughter. I was blessed with four beautiful grandchildren: Maria, Amanda, Britt and Josh, and one great-granddaughter, Kiana. I was also fortunate to have a great son-in-law David Larson, who put up with me, may he also remember me with a smile. My only brother Jerry and his wife Bonnie shared their hearts and home in Phoenix, AZ so that I could get out of WI winters during my retirement years. Despite some bumps and twists and turns along the way, the journey was well worth it. 

Per my choice, there will be no service and, after cremation, I will rest next to my parents at Union Cemetery in Kaukauna, WI.
