Jeffrey Lee Hermus, 74, of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He was born In Appleton, Wisconsin on March 1,1952 to the late Adrain and Evelyn (Gengler) Hermus.

Jeff was known for speaking his mind and telling it like it was. Beneath that straightforward exterior was a kind and genuine heart, and those who knew him understood that his honesty always came from a place of care and sincerity.

That same dedication and strong sense of responsibility guided him throughout his life. Jeff proudly worked at the Kaukauna paper mill for 41 years before retiring. He took great pride in his work and in providing for his family, creating a legacy of hard work and commitment that will be remembered by those who loved him.

Outside of work, Jeff found his greatest happiness in the simple pleasures of life and the people who shared them with him. An avid Green Bay Packers fan, He enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends, especially his twin sons and his longtime friend, Jim.

Although Jeff might have claimed otherwise, he had a special love for dogs. His faithful companions Max, Snowball, and Cubbybutt were cherished members of the family who brought him great joy throughout the years, and it brings comfort to know they are now reunited.

The relationships Jeff treasured most were with his family. He is survived by his twin sons, Eric(Jeni)Hermus and Patrick(Heidi)Hermus; his granddaughter, Jessica Hermus; His siblings, Nancy(Jay) Sullivan, Steven Hermus (Donna Cole), Joyce Elter, Alice(Jerry) Sell, and Charles (Bridget) Hermus. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.

Jeff will be remembered for his sharp wit, unwavering honesty, devotion to his family, and the many memories he shared with those he loved.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the ICU staff at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, who went above and beyond in caring for Jeff and supporting the family during his final days.

We love you and miss you and your sass dearly. You will always remain in our hearts.
