Jeanne Ann Kelley

Jeanne Ann Kelley, age 77, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026, after a courageous battle with glioblastoma.

The former Jeanne Conklin was born on February 25, 1949, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to the late Gordon and Bonnie (Whitcomb) Conklin. She graduated from Harper Creek High School in 1967 and earned her nursing degree from Kellogg Community College, becoming a registered nurse. She later continued her education in Wisconsin and became a nurse practitioner.

On September 16, 1967, Jeanne married David Kelley Sr. They celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary just four days before her passing.

In the early 1970s, Jeanne worked in pediatrics at St. Vincent Hospital. She also volunteered at the Free Clinic, where she performed physicals for children. In March 1983, she became a Health Services Coordinator for Head Start, a role she held until her retirement in June 2009. She also worked as a private duty nurse and shared her love of staying active as a Zumba instructor.

Jeanne was a talented artist, and many of her family members are blessed to have one of her paintings in their homes. She believed deeply in volunteering and giving back to her community, and she touched many lives as a mentor at Marion House, a CASA volunteer, and a Big Sister. Most of all, Jeanne loved her family and cherished every moment she spent with them.

Jeanne is survived by her husband, David Kelley Sr.; her sons, David (Linda) Kelley Jr., Joshua (Deann) Kelley, and Nathan Kelley and his partner, Jenny Homme; her grandchildren, Nicole (Colin) Adelmeyer, David (Jules) Kelley III, Anya Kelley, Eliana Kelley, Carter Kelley, and Laila Kelley; her great-grandson, Milo Adelmeyer; her brothers, Jim Conklin of Texas and Jack Conklin of Battle Creek, Michigan; and her niece, Megan Conklin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her infant sister, Susan, and her infant grandson, Noah. The family thanks Unity Hospice for its exceptional care and kindness during Jeanne's illness. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Simply Cremation of Green Bay is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Unity Hospice in Jeanne's memory.
