James Todd Van Boxel (J.T.) passed away peacefully at St. Vincents Hospital at the age of 63. He was born February 12, 1962, in Green Bay to the late Richard Sr. and Mary Van Boxel. J.T. married Debbie Ebben on April 2, 1991, and together they raised her daughters.
J.T. owned and operated Van Boxel's Bar after his parents retired in 2005 until 2019. J.T. liked to entertain his customers with joke telling, singing, and playing the stump fiddle. He also really enjoyed playing cards. J.T. was a member of Brown County tavern League and Moose International.
He will be deeply missed by his stepdaughters Amie (Chris) Hvizdak (Benson, Eli), Tara (Chris) DeGrave (Autumn, Blake); sister, Susan LeComte; brothers, Richard Jr (Las Vegas), Thomas, and John (Kim); nieces and nephews, Jeff (Joy) LeComte, Jodi (Lee) Bain, Kimberly Van Boxel, Adam Van Boxel, Alex (Stacie) Van Boxel, Niki (Joe) McDonald.
He was preceded in death by a brother in law, Tony LeComte, and a sister in law Denise Van Boxel.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
