James E. Kissel Jr, 62, of Green Bay, passed away October 8, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born on April 7, 1964 to the late James E. Kissel Sr. and Kathleen M. Schumacher. He was a graduate of Resurrection grade school, Abbot Pennings High School, and attended UW Eau Claire. James worked alongside his father at Kissel and Associates for many years as a manufacturers representative in the heating and cooling industry. His passion for cars specifically Cadilacs were a big part of who he was and he often be heard talking about or working on them. He was proud of his family's connection to the historic Kissel Kar Company of Wisconsin. It was a piece of Wisconsin history he cherished and shared with others. Jim was a hardworking man with a great sense of humor and a personality all his own. He was known for his quick wit, unforgettable one liners, and a laugh that was uniquely his own. Jim enjoyed cooking and found pleasure in preparing food and sharing it with others. Those who knew him will remember his laughter, humor, his love of vehicles, and the moments that made time spent with him special. Jim always took care of his people and will be fondly missed.
He is survived by his son, Benjamin R. Kissel; siblings, Patti Kissel, Nancy (Robert) De Wane, Tracy (Steve) Arriola, and Mike (Sarah) Kissel; nieces and nephews, Patrick (Hilary) De Wane, Katie (Ross) Farley, Steve and Madelyn Arriola, Brynn and Wyatt Kissel; many great nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
In accordance with his wishes no formal services will be held.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Moments Hospice, specifically Tara, Adam, and Mollie. In the end his three sisters and his niece Katie were able to ease the burden and be a guide to the next chapter.
In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy please direct donations to Moments Hospice in Jim's name.
