James “Jim” Milton Brocker, 60, of Chilton, WI went home to His Heavenly Father on September 25, 2025. He was born in Chilton, WI at Calumet Medical Center on November 21, 1964 to Lila Brocker (nee Belongie) and Ralph Brocker.Jim attended Chilton Public Schools, where he was known for being a bit of a troublemaker, but always respectful to the adults that educated him. Jim was heavily involved in the arts department, crediting Mr. Sarasin for his love of all things creative.Jim worked at Milk Products right out of high school. He later went on to work at American Finishing Resources and MB Companies, along with working on odd jobs for friends that including welding. As Jim’s health declined, he retired to his home where he continued to live out his dreams of Broken Acres Naturals and Dragon’s Lair Metals. Jim practiced beekeeping, planted large luscious gardens, created many garden sculptures and creatures out of scrap metal, and planned on finishing his ‘56 Chevy.Jim had four children— Carlee, Dakota, Cheyenne, and Kila— whom he had the honor of naming. He taught his children how to live off the land, work hard, help others, and most of all, love big. Jim’s children have fond memories of working out in the “shop” with him, family camping trips, planting gardens, going for drives, trips north to go hunting, and always being told they were loved. Jim was immensely proud of his children— and he made sure to tell them often.Though Jim loved building metal sculptures, stirring up new creations in the kitchen , and staying active in the outdoors, Jim’s favorite role was that as a grandparent. Jim treasured his time with his seven grandkids and loved being their “PopPop” and “Papa Jim.” When visiting his home, grandkids were sure to get a four wheeler ride throughout the property.Jim always had a soft spot for furry friends. Over the years, many passed through Jim’s life, but his current pups Willow and Sinatra were his true companions. Through Jim’s battle with cancer, his dogs gave him a reason to keep going and get out of bed each day. Although Jim claimed to dislike cats, he housed many of them throughout the years.Jim was an active member of Calumet Lodge #172 in New Holstein, WI. He was raised to the degree of Master Mason in January 2002. Jim truly believed in the brotherhood of Free Masonry and the non-blood family it created. He was proud to be the Grill Master with the Monster Grill at many Lodge Brat Frys.Jim was preceded in death by his parents; Lila Kilsdonk, Marvin Kilsdonk, Ralph Brocker, and Irene Brocker, furry friend Ruger, a grandbaby, and many friends and loved ones over the years.Jim is survived by his children: Carlee Brocker (Adan), Dakota Brocker (Rebecca), Cheyenne Klapperich (Brandon), and Kila Brocker (Bryan), his grandchildren: Drayden, Atreus, Maya, Harper, Sylvan, Roman, and Alice, and siblings: Charles Brocker (Carol), Deb Tasch (Ken), Fred Brocker (Gretchen), Janet Rabida (Jay), Mark Brocker (Julie), and Jeff Kilsdonk (Barb), and many other friends and family. We couldn't have asked for a better dad, and will miss Jim every day.
