James "Jim" Crossman

James “Jim” Crossman, age 80, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026, surrounded by his family after a courageous two-year battle with liver and bile duct cancer. 

Born on July 3, 1946, to the late Everett Sr. and Viola Crossman, Jim spent most of his life in Green Bay, WI.

He worked as a baker before beginning a rewarding 30-year career as a blackjack dealer at Oneida Bingo & Casino. He thoroughly enjoyed his work and his colleagues. Casino patrons affectionately knew him as “Win with Jim”—even if they usually left his table with empty pockets.

Above all, Jim adored his family. His daughter, Kelly, son-in-law, Tom, his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren meant the world to him. His great-granddaughters, Ariella and Emersyn, were the light of his life, and the immeasurable happiness they brought him will forever remain a treasured memory for his family.

An avid Green Bay Packers fan, one of Jim’s happiest moments was attending his first home game at Lambeau Field alongside Kelly and Tom. His absolute favorite hobby was trout fishing. Though his illness kept him from getting out on the water these past two years, his passion for fishing the local streams never faded. He also enjoyed landscaping, camping with his grandchildren, traveling, and visiting casinos—including a particularly memorable trip to Las Vegas.

Jim is survived by his loving daughter, Kelly (Tom) Stahl; his grandchildren, Tyler Crossman, Sierra Stahl, and Alexis Mocco; and great-granddaughters, Ariella Stahl and Emersyn Mocco.

He is further survived by his siblings, Bonny, Dianna, and Everett Jr., as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is also survived by his son, Brad (Shannon) Crossman, and granddaughters, Morgan and Jocelyn Crossman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, John Crossman; and his sister, Mary Minogue.

Special thanks to his sister, Bonny, for accompanying Jim to many of his medical appointments and for her loving support throughout his illness. Deep gratitude is extended to Kelly and Tom, for their love, support and welcoming Jim into their home to care for him throughout his final journey. The family also thanks Prevea Cancer Center and Unity Hospice for their exceptional, compassionate care.
