Hawkins M. Batten

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Hawkins Batten. He tragically and unexpectedly left us on November 28, 2024, at the age of 27, following a motor vehicle accident. 

Hawkins loved being outside and enjoyed hiking and walking. He will be most remembered for his willingness to listen, his kindness and his smile. 

Hawkins was born on February 19, 1997, to parents Fawn Simpson in Texas and Shane Batten in Wisconsin. 

Hawkins is survived by his brothers, sisters, grandmothers, aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Hawkins was cremated in a quiet ceremony. There will be a Celebration of Life in February on the weekend before Hawkins’ birthday. 

The family encourages friends and loved ones to donate to a substance abuse program in Hawkins’ name.
