Garey Warren "Papa" Whorley

Garey Warren "Papa" Whorley, age 84 of Manitowoc, WI passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, at Aurora Hospital in Two Rivers, WI. He was born on April 23rd, 1941, in Malta, Montana to Cecil James and Winifred (Link) Whorley.

He married his wife, Arlene (Houk) Whorley in Long Beach California on March 8th, 1975.

Garey was a hard-working handyman who was capable of and enjoyed fixing just about anything and everything. He will be dearly missed. He sadly leaves behind his wife of 50 years, three sons: David (Angela) Whorley, Timothy (Rhonda) Whorley, and Jason Whorley; his five grandchildren: Alexander Whorley, Amanda Whorley, Daniel (Amber) Whorley, David Whorley Jr., and James Whorley; and two great-grandchildren: Delilah Whorley and Benjamin Whorley. He is also survived by three brothers: Melvin Whorley (New Mexico), Clinton Whorley (Virginia), and Kenny Whorley (Virginia); and a sister, Kathryn Whorley (Virginia).

Following a private cremation in the care of Simply Cremation of Green Bay, a celebration of Garey's life will be held by family at Lincoln Park Cabin 1 in Manitowoc, WI from 12-3pm on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025.
