Fred A. King

Fred A. King, 79, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 2, 2025. He was born on July 1, 1946, to the late Sylvester and Julia (Beedy) King. After graduating high school, he served in the Army for 2 years. Fred married his soulmate, Joyce (Filip) King, in 1977, and together they had 2 sons.

Fred worked as a car salesman for most of his career and then owned a mortgage company before retiring. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed the outdoors, whether it be taking the boat out to go fishing, going camping, or just walking through the woods. He enjoyed being with and talking to people. Fred was also a big Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.

Fred is survived by his wife, Joyce King; his 2 sons, David and Sean King; his granddaughter, Natasha; and his brother, Russell King.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Julia King; his sister, Caryl; and his sister-in-law, Fay King.

Fred will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
