Eric David Seeman, 38, Peshtigo, passed away unexpectedly Monday, October 13, 2025. Eric was born on September 25, 1987. He was a graduate of Ashwaubenon High School, Class of 2006. Eric was employed at Johnson Controls in Marinette, WI. Prior to working at Johnson Controls, he was employed by Tectron Tube, De Pere, WI for many years.
Eric was a devoted father, son, brother and a loyal friend to many. He was a man who found peace and joy in the beauty of nature, especially in Townsend where he made many friends over the years. Eric was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved spending time outdoors. He found joy in life’s simplest pleasures, land to hunt, clear water to fish, and spending time with those who shared his love for the outdoors. Those who knew Eric will remember his warm heart, easy laugh, and the way he made everyone feel welcome. One of Eric’s greatest gifts was storytelling, sometimes that gift came with bonus chapters. You knew when Eric started a story, you’d better settle in and get comfortable. But that was the joy of it - every tangent, every side character, every little detail made the story unique.
Eric is survived by his son, Luke Seeman, Marinette; father, Dan Seeman (long-time friend, Sharon Miller), Oconto; sister, Katie (Andrew) Kaminski, Green Bay; nieces, McKenna and Callie Kaminski; and grandfather, Ron (Phyllis) Gajewski, Pulaski. He is survived as well by his cherished second family; his aunt and uncle, Terry and Julie Vertz, Townsend, and their children Chris (Billi), Josh (Leah) and Matt (Jayme), sharing countless memories, laughter, and unconditional love throughout his life. He also leaves behind other aunts and uncles who loved him dearly; Mike (Patti) Seeman, Ron Zima, Lori (Rick) Counihan, Beth (Greg) Roberts, and Jim (Bonnie) Gajewski. Eric is remembered by many cousins, extended family members, and friends from all walks of life, including Tina (Luke’s mom), Dana, Henry, and Charlie.
Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert and Shirley Seeman; grandmother, Marge Gajewski; aunt, Susan Zima; and hunting buddy, Kyle Blawat.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Johnson Controls for their kindness, understanding and support during this time. Their care and compassion meant a lot to the family.
A celebration of Eric’s life will be held on Thursday, November 6 from 4:30pm - 7pm, with a eulogy at 5:30pm at A Gathering for You, 822 Cormier Road, Green Bay. In honor of Eric’s passion for the great outdoors, please wear your favorite flannel, camo, hunting or fishing attire.
Eric will be deeply missed by all who loved him and whose lives were touched by his presence. May he find the peace and rest he so richly deserves. His love and light will remain in our hearts forever. It brings us great comfort knowing Eric is now fishing the heavenly lakes with Grandpa Herbie and hunting the woods with Kyle.
