Eric Domerchie

February 22, 1973 — July 28, 2025

Green Bay, WI

Eric Domerchie, 52, passed away peacefully at home in Green Bay, WI on July 28th, 2025. Eric was born on February 22nd, 1973, in Encino, California to parents Sandra “Sandy” Brezonick (Miller) and Cornelis “Casey” Domerchie. He had three sisters, the older two being Tina Moore (Domerchie), Lisa Rueth (Rasmussen), and later came Regina “Gina” Domerchie. In childhood, Eric moved around quite a bit and eventually landed in Illinois where he graduated from Warren Township High School in 1991. Since he was little, he really cared about other people, a trait that allowed him to form strong connections with the people around him. He was a good student, very smart and had plenty of wit to drive his teachers a little crazy. His moving around showed him different pockets of life at a young age, and one could argue that’s where he caught his life-long travel bug. During his time in Illinois, he met and fell in love with Rebecca Domerchie (Watkins), and they married in 1994. Eric found his love for tree work around that time, working as a passionate arborist before he and Becca moved to Boulder, CO, where they made some of their very best memories together. In 1996, they left the mountains to return to the Midwest, moving to Appleton, WI to be closer to family as they welcomed their one and only daughter into the world, Kennedy Domerchie. There, Eric pridefully owned his own landscaping business and they showered their little girl in love in their little pink house. Shortly after their divorce, Eric moved to Las Vegas and followed his childhood dream of becoming a truck driver. He loved being on the road, seeing all the amazing sights and meeting people from all over. His career brought him to tour for David Copperfield, a highlight in his accomplishments and a feat he was able to share with Kennedy as they traveled the country together and shared countless memories and miles. Eric gave Kennedy the travel bug too. Two peas in a pod, Eric and Kennedy have always been and forever will be. After time in Las Vegas, Eric moved around to a few different states before settling in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The essence of life for Eric was loving his people, listening to and playing music, particularly the guitar, and his love for nature. His happy place was up in the North Woods of Wisconsin, cherishing his family history there, the fantastic fishing, and the peace and quiet. “It is what it is” was his mantra, having strong faith in believing everything that happens is meant to happen. Eric didn’t want people to be sad over his transition into the next phase but instead find solace in knowing God has plans for all of us.

Eric is survived by his daughter, Kennedy, his dog son, Buddy, both of his parents, Sandy and Casey, and two of his sisters, Tina and Lisa. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gina, his maternal grandfather and grandmother, Wymond and Viola Miller, his uncle, Wayne Miller, his aunt, Karen Miller, his paternal grandfather, Cornelis Domerchie, his uncle, Anthonius “Tony” Domerchie, and his second cousin, Jack Domerchie.

Since Eric has family and friends from all over the country, there will be two official celebrations of life; one in Illinois and the other in Loyal, WI. Specific details will be shared separately, but everyone should feel free to celebrate Eric’s life at any time!
