Emily Rose Beckerson, aged 35, born 6-26-1990, in Kaukauna Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on 6-7-2026 with her best friend, Andrea VanHammond, by her side after a fierce battle with cancer.
Emily worked in customer service most of her life but her favorite job was to travel around Wisconsin with a carnival in the summer months and run the cork gun game. Emily loved going to rock concerts with her sister and niece and traveling whenever possible. When at home she was always watching movies and cuddling with her cats. She also enjoyed going to the shooting range with some special friends.
Many didn't know this, but she was also a very talented artist when she put her mind to it. Emily was a strong, loving person that would have done anything for those closest to her. She always had great advice to give but was bullheaded and would rarely take someone else's. Emily lived life on her terms and wouldn't have it any other way to the very end. Her adventurous spirit carried her toward every new experience with enthusiasm and curiosity. Even though she didn't see her children much, she loved them dearly.
Emily is survived by her parents: Laurie E. Leary and James R. Beckerson; her husband Oscar Vera (separated); her children: Leeland Beckerson, Lakota Corday, Liliana Rosalie, Emilia Rose, and Oscar Emilio Vera; her siblings Nicholas (Michelle) Leary, Timothy Leary, and Amanda Leary (Dave Zack); nieces and nephews: Korbin Leary, Isabella Beckerson, Keegan Leary, and Savana Moberg. She is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Lo'Reina Beckerson and maternal and paternal grandparents.
We want to give a special thank you to Emily's godmother, Lynn Sonkowsky, dearest friend, Andrea VanHammond, and the hospice team.
There will be a celebration of life on 6-26-26 from 3p.m. to 7 p.m. at Wanick Choute Park W4690 Castle Drive Sherwood WI 54169.
