Elizabeth Marquardt

October 14, 1962 — July 13, 2020

Elizabeth Ann (Cady) Marquardt, took up residence in the confines of heaven, on July 13, 2020, after a short battle with a nasty foe, known as cancer. Elizabeth, (aka: Beth, Liz, Liz Bit, and my favorite, Izzy, given to her by sister, Amy (Cady) Dixon, aka Mimi), passed away peacefully at Aurora Hospital in Green Bay WI. at, the too young, age of 57.

Born on October 14, 1962 to Kathy (Cady) LaChapelle and Gerald Cady in De Pere, Wisconsin. Beth graduated from De Pere high school in the spring of 1980. Liz would have two children with Ralph Kleczka, Christopher Kleczka, in 1987, and Kailyn Kleczka, in 1990. They soon became the apple of Elizabeth’s eye, and stayed there until she passed away. In the winter of 2013 Beth met the ruggedly handsome (her words) man, Todd Marquardt. They fell in love and were married on February 6, 2015. Purchased a house in Seymour WI, and made it their home.

The first things that comes to mind when you think of Izzy are, her quick wit, and great sense of humor. Followed by her beautiful eyes, and smile. One of mine and Beth’s favorite thing to do, was bargain shopping. Whether it was food, jewelry, cars, or Beth’s favorite, clothes, it would not be purchased, unless it was on sale. She always saved more than she spent (wink, wink). With a big heart, and an honest and genuine personality, Elizabeth made friends easily, but had few close friends. Those of you who were fortunate to know Beth, can attest to her infectious laugh, usually heard from the other side of the room. A laugh that will be sorely missed by all.

Elizabeth, was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She was survived by, her husband, Todd Marquardt, Seymour, WI. Mother, Kathleen (Carufel) LaChapelle, Marion, WI. Father, Gerald Cady, Crivitz, WI. Step-father, Clark LaChapelle, Marion, WI. Children, Christopher Kleczka, Green Bay, WI. Kailyn Kleczka, Green Bay, WI. Sister, Randy Cady, Oconto Falls, WI. Amy (Cady) Dixon, San Tan, Az. Brother-in-law, Orlando Dixon, San Tan, Az. and Nieces, Kiana and Asha Dixon, San Tan, Az. Elizabeth, was also survived by my family, which includes, 2 parents, 3 siblings, 3 children, 2 grandchildren, 4 nieces and 3 nephews.

A memorial may be given to St. Mark Church, 2066 Lawrence Dr. DePere WI. 54115. Or to Beth’s family to help with funeral and medical expenses, mailed to 309 Green St., Seymour, WI 54165. It was Beth’s wish to be cremated and have a small family and friend gathering. This took place on Friday, July 17th, at St. Mark Church. Thank you to St. Mark church for the use of the sanctuary, and to Minister, Micheal Henning.
